Potawatomi Ventures Recognized as One of the “Best Places to Work” by Milwaukee Business Journal
On September 11th at the Summerfest Grounds in Milwaukee, the Milwaukee Business Journal recognized 65 organizations that are standouts of the annual program, which recognizes the importance of cultivating an exceptional workplace and of leaders who make an effort to ensure their business is a fulfilling place to work.
Rankings are based on the results of a survey conducted by Quantum Workplace. The survey addresses topics such as feeling valued, team effectiveness, retention, alignment with goals, trust with co-workers and senior leaders and manager effectiveness.
The winners are distributed across five categories:
Micro: 10 to 24 employees
Small: 25 to 49 employees
Medium: 50 to 99 employees
Large: 100 to 199 employees
Extra large: 200-plus employees
Potawatomi Ventures ranked number four in the medium sized category. Potawatomi Ventures prides itself on being a people-first culture. The employees love the monthly team recognition ranging from anniversaries to employees' kids winning the Cub Scouts Derby; summer events like Brewers Outings and cook outs with the C-suite as the master grillers; family Zoo Day; Summer Fridays; and more! Additionally, employees are encouraged to give back to their communities with 16 volunteer hours. They're also encouraged to get to know and understand the Forest County Potawatomi Community. The company organizes quarterly field trips for employees to visit the reservation in northern Wisconsin to learn about the culture and history. Potawatomi Ventures also provides a generous benefits package. Employees appreciate the hybrid work policy while enjoying the beautiful Milwaukee downtown office for in-person collaboration.
“It’s such an honor and privilege to support the tribe alongside the team,” said Kip Ritchie, chief executive officer of Potawatomi Ventures. “Our team is passionate, dedicated, smart, and genuinely kind. We all work together to make Potawatomi Ventures a top place to work, and this award represents that continuous dedication to each other.”
